Welcome back to this weeks Top 3 Thursday! This was started by the lovely Mel over at A Cosy Reading Blog – go check it out!!
Today’s theme is epigraphs and dedications. So some back story here – most of my book collection lives at my parents. I only recently moved out and brought a teeeeny selection with me. So although this list is probably not my absolute top 3 dedications, it’s the top 3 from the books I currently have with me!
1. ‘To the starry eyed girl who dreamed of becoming an author- we made it’ – Ashley Poston, Heart of Iron
I love this. Because it’s me. That’s me. That’s what I want. And I love that Ashley acknowledged her dreams in this dedication!
2. ‘To everyone with a power – whether or not you’ve found it yet’ – Scott Westerfeld, Margo Lanagan and Deborah Biancotti, Zeroes
This one gives me hope. The hope that someday I will find my power. Or maybe just realize what my power is!
3. ‘For anyone brave enough to believe in the impossible. Embrace the wonder.’ – Lynette Noni, Akarnae
I liked this one because I frequently live in the fairytales in my head, or play make-believe with what I wish was happening in my life. So knowing that believing in those impossible things is okay… makes me feel good π
So there we have my top 3 for this week! I really enjoyed reading all the dedications in the books I had here! I love how personal some of them are – like only that specific person would understand! I think that’s fantastic! Now the debate as to what mine will be if I ever write my book… π€
Tell me your faves!
Happy readings! X
You ended up with some winners! These are so great π
