Hello! Top 3 Thursday calling again! This week is actually a little difficult for me. My dad is not a reader, and my mum’s taste leans more towards romance than mine does! So when it’s books they’ve recommended to me, I’m taking that very loosely! 😊
1. The Adventures of the Wishing Chair – Enid Blyton
These books were given to me when I was a child. And I have a huge soft spot for these stories. I’m so grateful that my parents encouraged my love of reading and bought me books to encourage me even further!
2. The Clan of the Cave Bear – Jean M Auel
This isn’t so much a recommendation as a book series that I distinctly remember my mum reading! I haven’t read it as yet, but from just looking it up again, I think I might enjoy it now more than I did when I was 15 trying to read it!
3. The Saggy, Baggy Elephant, The Poky Little Puppy and all other Little Golden Books
Again, this is from my childhood. But there was never any shortage of these stories growing up! I don’t even know where they came from, but my parents always made sure we had more Little Holden Books than we could possibly read!
As I said, this one was hard for me. But I’m still forever grateful to my parents for teaching me to read and encouraging my reading, even if my reading likes were vastly different from their own! So thanks Mum and Dad – if you ever read this!! 😘
Do you have a favourite book from your childhood??
Happy readings loves!

I still have most of my Little Golden Books!! They used to be my presents when I was good 😊
