Firstly a massive shoutout to Hachette Publishing for sending me a review copy of this book! For those who dont know me, I’ll start by saying that Hamilton is my absolute favourite musical and I havent even seen it yet! And my love for Hamilton has just transferred into a love for Lin-Manuel Miranda. I love everything he does and is, and I LOVE coming across some of his old tweets. So when I saw this this book was a compliation of some of his good morning and good night tweets, I was just in awe.
Each double spread of this book contains one good morning tweet and one goodnight tweet, brought together beautifully with the illustrations by Jonny Sun. These tweets are the types of things that will help you realise that there is good in each day, and we only need to look a little harder or deeper to find it:
‘Good morning.
Your pace today.
No one else’s.
You cant be rushed, you cant be slowed down.’
‘Good night.
Your pace in this life.
No one else’s.
You cant be rushed, you cant be slowed down.’
It’s about looking after yourself and taking the time to enjoy the small things in life:
‘Good morning.
I’m tired. I bet you’re tired.
But we’re awake and alive and that’s enough. Cmon. Cmon.’
‘Good night.
I’m tired. I bet you’re tired.
But we’re awake and alive and that’s enough. Cmon. Cmon.’
It’s about giving people the strength to face each day:
‘Good morning!
You were lucky enough to wake up today, so cmon.
Socks before shoes, let’s go!’
‘Good night.
You were lucky enough to make it through today, so take it easy.
Brush your teeth, a dormir, let’s go.’
This book is absolutely full of these beautiful words of wisdom. I cant recommend it enough. I think everyone should get a copy, or gift a copy to someone, because everyone needs to hear and read these words.
This is a 100% ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️out of 5 stars from me.
Happy readings loves
