Top 3 Thursday – ‘Ships’ That Never Sailed

Oh hey there friends! Welcome back to Top 3 Thursday. I have been waiting for this weeks topic for AGES! For those who don’t know, ‘ships’ are basically relationships. So we’re looking at relationships that I wished had happened in books that didn’t actually happen. I should also say I’m a major shipper. I ship hard, and usually very fast. I have my OTP’s and don’t argue with me on them! So when ships don’t sail? I get very upset.

1. Alanna and Jon – The Song of the Lioness by Tamora Pierce

I was a hardcore shipper of these two! I still am! I get so cranky when I read the books and they don’t go the way I want them to in my head. I mean, I absolutely adore these books, but I still always want Alanna and Jon to end up together 😦 My poor shipper heart.

2. Celaena and Chaol – Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas

I adore these two so much. I loved them together. I love Chaol. And I still cry every time I read Crown of Midnight. It hurts my heart. Don’t get me wrong, I love where the series ended up. But these two were so beautiful and I loved every second of them!

3. Katniss and Gale – The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

So this is an odd one – its not that I am super invested in these two together, I just feel like they were a better match for each other than Peeta and Katniss were. Peeta was so devoted to Katniss and I don’t think she deserved him. I think Gale and Katniss understood each other on a completely different level.

So there we have my poor little ships that sank into the sea. I love them and miss them all greatly.
