Top 3 Thursday: Books with a Female Lead Character

Hello friends! So this weeks Top 3 Thursday could basically just be almost every single book I’ve ever read. Female lead characters are apparently my thing! So narrowing that down will be tricky, but I will try! Remember to jump over onto Mel’s blog to join in!

1. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

I cant go past Aelin as a lead. I just cant. She is strong, stubborn, loves reading, loves chocolate and cake, is a kickass assassin  – whats not to like? Read if you like epic wars, epic love and magic!

2. Nevernight Chronicles by Jay Kristoff

Okay gentle friends. Apparently I’m on an assassin kick here. Because how can we mention assassins without talking about Mia Corvere? To be fair I’m still only partway through Darkdawn, but I’m completely engaged in this story! Read if you dont mind death, blood, gore, sex, swearing and battles!

3. Caraval by Stephanie Garber

I debated putting this one in, but especially in the first book, Scarlett is definitely our lead character. And the first was probably my favourite out of the three, so I decided she belonged here! Read if you like carnivals, the circus, love and kissing!

So here are three series (of course I picked series, not standalones) that have female leads!

Which books are on your top lead female reads?

Happy readings,

-B x
