Review: Marvel Museum – The Story of the Comics

Firstly, I’d like to say a massive thank you to Scholastic Australia for sending a copy of Marvel Museum: The Story of the Comics.

I am a very big Marvel fan, but it has only been since the movies. I fell in love with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but always knew there was a huge back history of the comics. I also knew that the movies differed from the comics in some ways. I’d read a few varied comics across my time, but never religiously.

However when I received this book, I sat down and read it straight away. It’s a collection of Marvel Comics artwork, put together with pieces of Marvel history to create a beautiful full picture of what it was like to create the Marvel comics and characters we all love so much.

If I had to compare this to something, I would say it’s almost the comic book equivalent to a coffee table book. It’s a large format hardcover, with gorgeous comic artwork throughout, detailing characters like Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, Black Panther, the Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men, and even Thanos!

This would be a fantastic gift for anyone who loves Marvel, or even has a passing interest in comics or history. I honestly believe I will have it out on my coffee table because if a Marvel Museum doesn’t spark conversation, you probably don’t want those people in your house 👌🏻😂

Again, many thanks to Scholastic Australia for the copy of the book, and I recommend checking it out!

Happy readings
